Four priorities to get our schools back to the basics, back our teachers, keep campuses safe, and put parents first.

  • Back to the Basics

    Mathematics, reading, writing, science, and history. Students should leave our schools able to read well, think clearly, and do the math — no excuses, measurable results.

  • Stand With Teachers

    Teachers and staff carry this district. When they are respected, prepared, and supported, our students win. That support starts at the Board table.

  • Safe, Clean Campuses

    Every school should be safe, clean, and well maintained. A quality learning environment tells a child their community believes in them and in their future.

  • For Parents

    Parents deserve a voice at the Board table and confidence in their schools. Art will listen, respond, and keep families informed — because strong schools are built on trust between parents, educators, and the community.

Why I'm Running

Service Before Self

For over 30 years, my job has been simple: show up when it matters most.

I have run into burning buildings, treated patients on their worst day, and led the crews who do it every shift. Firefighter. Paramedic. Captain. Battalion Chief. Deputy Chief. Today I serve as Director of EMS Operations for a regional emergency medical services agency.

Every one of those roles taught me the same four things: prepare, be accountable, work as a team, and put service before self. Our schools deserve exactly that.

I'm running for Alta Loma School District Governing Board, Area 3 because every child deserves a strong education — and every parent deserves confidence in their schools.

I'll bring a public servant's heart, a parent's perspective, and decades of leadership under pressure to the Board. I humbly ask for your vote.

Three decades of public service

Firefighter, paramedic, captain, battalion chief, deputy chief, and today Director of EMS Operations for a regional emergency medical services agency.

  1. 2020 – Present

    Director of EMS Operations — Regional EMS & Mobile Health Agency

    Runs the daily operation of a full-service ambulance company, after serving as Director of Consolidated Fire Agencies leading regional work across partner fire agencies.

  2. 2011 – 2020

    Chief Officer — Battalion Chief to Sr. Deputy Chief — A local fire agency

    Sr. Deputy Chief of Special Operations, Deputy Chief / Fire Marshal, and Battalion Chief: airport operations at a major international airport, Chief Paramedic for the city, Bomb Squad Unit Chief, fire and arson investigation, life-safety inspections, development oversight, and community risk reduction.

  3. 1993 – 2011

    Paramedic — Captain, Firefighter/Paramedic & Flight Paramedic — A local fire agency · Air medical transport service

    Captain/Paramedic leading a four-person engine company and serving as EMS Coordinator for quality improvement, infection control and continuing education; Firefighter/Paramedic who built the residential smoke detector and citizen follow-up programs; Flight Paramedic on emergency scenes plus NICU, PICU and critical inter-facility transports.

  4. 1993 – 1996

    Firefighter — A local fire agency

    Front-line fire suppression and emergency response.

That perspective — as a husband, father, and partner to an educator — is what Art will bring to the Board table.

Art's connection to Alta Loma schools isn't from a campaign brochure — it's from a lifetime around the dinner table. His wife has spent 25 years as a teacher in the Alta Loma School District, giving Art a front-row view of what our classrooms, teachers, and families experience every day.
