Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Every voter deserves equal access to campaign information. The Art Andres for School Board 2026 campaign is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

What we have done

  • Semantic HTML structure with a single main heading and logical heading order on each page.
  • Text and interface colors chosen to meet or exceed AA contrast ratios.
  • Full keyboard navigation with clearly visible focus indicators.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images and accessible names on icon links.
  • Touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones and tablets.
  • Responsive, mobile-first layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling and support browser zoom to 200%.
  • No content that flashes, auto-plays audio, or moves in a way that cannot be avoided.

Ongoing effort

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review new pages and content as they are published and correct issues as we find them. Some third-party embeds, such as social media platforms, are outside our control.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter a page, document, or feature on this site that you cannot use, please contact the Campaign through our Facebook or Instagram pages linked at the bottom of every page. Please tell us the page address and the problem you experienced. We will respond promptly and provide the information in an alternative format if needed.

Alternative formats

Campaign information on this site is available by phone, in large print, or read aloud on request at no cost.
